Finally it’s back! The much appreciated MHApp is finally back in the AppStore. Rewritten from ground up in Swift. A modern user interface.
And the best is: it is free of charge!
Please note: MHApp is not a substitute for medical advice. MHApp is intended for educational purposes only. The purpose of this app is to use it to train and teach yourself in management of malignant hyperthermia. It might serve as a valuable tool in simulated MH scenarios.
Do you know what to do in case of a malignant hyperthermia crisis?
Are you sure somebody will take a detailed protocol during your actions?
MHApp does both for you:
MHApp is like an interactive MH-emercency poster. Simulating an MH crisis and teaching the acute management will certainly be of great value in case of a real crisis.
MHApp will guide you through a simulated malignant hyperthermia (MH) crisis. The App includes treatment of acidosis, hyperkalemia and dosing of dantrolene or ryanodex
Every action and injected dantrolene doses are recorded in a log file, which can be exported.
The clinical grading score (CGS) estimates the probability of an MH episode. The result can be exported as PDF.
A section with information about MH, anesthesia for the known MH patients, preparation of anesthesia workstations, MH-mutations and more.
This app was developed by international experts in Malignant Hyperthermia:
Dr. Henry Rosenberg (President of MHAUS)
Prof. Thierry Girard (director of the Swiss MH unit)
MHApp is endorsed by the North American MH Group (www.mhaus.org), as well as by the European MH Group (www.emhg.org).
